Mission & Vision

The Mission

The mission of LakeView Church is the same mission Jesus gave his all followers: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:18-20). It begins and ends with Jesus!

The Vision

The vision of LakeView Church is be a family of people who are actually following Jesus, filled with the Holy Spirit and with love for one another, living on mission for the glory of God and the common good.

The most important step you can take with Jesus is the next one.

What is a disciple, how do I become one, and how do we "make disciples of all nations," as Jesus commanded us? Listen to the sermon series below to hear in more detail our heart and vision for following Jesus one step at a time.

Here's something to celebrate!

This past Christmas, LakeView Church joined in the mission of God by raising funds to help build a well in Turkana through one of our
dear missionary partners, Pastor Charles, Sammi Murimi, and Share International. God blew us out of the water and provided enough for not just for one well--but two!! Please be encouraged by the photos and this update on the first well being built:

"Praise the Lord! Charles (the Motivator/Missionary that LakeView Church supports) and the entire Share Board and staff express their gratitude to LakeView Church for providing the funds to drill the borehole. You can see Charles in the first and last picture quenching his thirst!
The water will serve as a reminder of God’s faithfulness and His call to all that serve with Share in Turkanaland to go and grow deeper toward the primary purpose for drilling - knowing, experiencing, and sharing the Living Water with those yet unreached across Turkanaland. The water is a catalyst to facilitate toward making more and more disciples of Jesus Christ."
